The Nitto tire brand is owned by Toyo Tire, a relatively small Japanese brand that specializes in truck and high performance tires. Most of their manufacturing centers are in Asia, but Toyo opened a factory in Georgia (U.S.) around 2004 to serve North America. It employs over 1,000 people as of 2015.
The Nitto Motivo is backed by a class leading mileage warranty of 60,000 miles, which is very unusual for UHP tires that have a W- or Y-speed rating. According to Nitto, they have rated the UTQG treadwear rating as 560 AA, which they say is made possible by using silica and a special binding agent.

The NT555 is a sticky, directional tire for maximizing street traction. It is pricey, like others in this category, but has glowing reviews from sports and muscle car drivers. Nittos are known as a dependable tire brand on truck websites and forums. The Terra Grapplers are a rugged, capable A/T tire - the 4.6 out of 5 average rating from over 400 drivers definitely inspires confidence.
